Shubman Gill involves in a heated argument with the on-field umpires during the GT vs DC match
Earlier, Gill was involved in a heated argument with the on-field umpires during the GT vs. DC match in Ahmedabad. The reason for the discussion was a penalty given to GT for a slow over-rate. Due to this penalty, GT had to bring one extra fielder inside the 30-yard circle for the final over of DC’s innings.
Gill wasn’t happy with the decision and tried to explain his side to umpires Akshay Totre and Keyur Kelkar. In the ongoing season, fans got to see a different GT skipper than last season. He is looking more confident as captain in the ongoing IPL 2025.
Speaking about the GT vs. DC clash, Prasidh Krishna stood out with the ball, picking up 4 wickets for 41 runs and helping the Titans to restrict the Capitals to 203/8 on the board. Later, Jos Buttler played a brilliant unbeaten knock of 97 from just 54 balls.
Buttler got great support from Sherfane Rutherford, who scored 43 off 34 deliveries. The duo stitched together a crucial 119-run partnership to take the Gujarat Titans over the line with 4 balls remaining against the Delhi Capitals.
